SCHOOLS
UNISON Cambridgeshire County Branch have appointed a new full-time Schools Organiser based at the branch office.
Steve Sweeney has been seconded to the branch from his post as a Teaching Assistant at Bottisham Village College.
Steve would like to visit your school to discuss the latest developments in education including the SSSNB, Academies and Building Schools for the Future. It is our aim to strengthen our influence and organisation in schools and we would like members, reps and contacts in every school in the county.
If you would like to become a rep or contact then please fill in the form on the branch website and/or get in touch with the branch.
Steve said ” This is an exciting development for the UNISON branch and I am looking forward to working with and increasing our membership across Cambridgeshire. There are many challenges ahead over the coming months and a stronger branch will leave us better placed to deal with those issues. I would like to get to every school in the county and this is where our members can help. Please feel free to contact me to arrange a visit for your school. We have a number of new developments including the Schools Forums and aim to hold a Support Staff Conference sometime in the New Year.”
To arrange a visit to your school, contact Steve on steve.sweeney@cambridgeshire.gov.uk, mobile 07584 704421 or the Branch Office on 01223 717015
